METZELER RACETEC SM offers the rider the possibility to choose, for the front wheel, among two different rim sizes which one is the best for their bike and riding style. Both feature a 0° steel belt, for oustanding line holding and steering precision while braking.
16,5″ Front Wheel: 16,5″ (R420) front range available in K1 and K2 compound to battle in S1,S2 and S3 Supermoto classes (ON/OFF road track). The new structure delivers faster corner entry, superb line holding and contact feeling while cornering.
17,0″ Front Wheel: 17″ front range, available in K1 and K2 compound, excel in S4 Supermoto class (ON road only track) combining supermoto with the METZELER Road Racing experience.
Fast warm-up, immediate self-cleaning:Â Thanks to innovative mixing process and to high ultra-fine silica content, RACETEC SM delivers quick warm-up and immediate self-cleaning in all compounds. RACETEC SM can be used without tyre warmers.
Front compounds: RACETEC SM All front tyres feature 100% silica compounds, with a reduced porosity, to ensure fast warm up and self-cleaning properties after riding on dirt track section. Compound choice should be mainly based on riding style (Stability Vs Contact feeling) and operating temperature. Note: K1 = Soft, K2 = Medium. K1 for cold, K2 for hot temperatures.
Rear compounds: RACETEC SM Rear compounds feature an enhanced thermal stability to keep under control the overheating effect triggered by drifting in the shoulder area. Compound choice should be based on asphalt roughness and operating temperature, as well as by the trade off between peak performance and durability. Note: K0 = Super Soft, K1 = Soft, K2 = Medium. K0 for very hot temperatures, K1 for medium and K2 for cold temperatures.
Metzeler confirmed as the exclusive tyre brand until 2028 of the FIM Supermoto World and the European Championships and the FIM Supermoto of Nations.
Extending the collaboration that began in 2023 with the promoter XIEM, the tyre brand will be present exclusively for another three years (2026-8) in the S1GP World Championship, S4 European Championship, new S2 class and in the Supermoto of Nations
Metzeler has been confirmed by XIEM as the exclusive tyre brand for the FIM Supermoto World and the European Championships and for the FIM Supermoto of Nations up to and including the 2028 season.
Specifically, Metzeler RACETEC SM tyres will continue to equip all teams and riders in the S1GP World category and the European S4 category, as well as those in the new S2 class and the competition by nations.Â

The Metzeler RACETEC SM tyres used in these championships are regularly on sale on the market and have been developed precisely to meet the needs of supermotards. They use compounds that have high silica content to offer quick warm-up and, at the same time, excellent abrasion resistance, while the tread pattern has central grooves perpendicular to the direction of travel, to ensure greater mechanical grip on off-road track sections while grooves in the mid-lean area are designed for effective and rapid self-cleaning.

We use DHL for all of our tyre orders. Delivery takes between one and four working days. We use Royal Mail for our non-tyre orders. We rely on our delivery partners and enjoy a very high success rate on deliveries.

Unlike some other retailers, all our tyres are located in the UK. If it shows as available on our website, then it's in stock. We dispatch 95% of orders within 24 hours and because they're shipped from the UK, you won't have delays or import charges.
