Here at Two Tyres we recommend these JMT lightweight lithium motorcycle batteries, which weigh just 30% of your bike’s standard battery.
These are the same physical size as your OEM battery, so it’s simply a case of pull out your old battery and replace it with this lightweight lithium version.
For most of the common fitments, this results in a saving of over 2kg compared to your stock battery but savings can be more than 5kg!
Unlike some motorcycle battery brands, JMT batteries are not made in the Far East. They are manufactured in Germany and subject to rigorous testing and strict quality control. They are the OE fitment for some motorcycle manufacturers, including KTM and all of our JMT batteries come with a 24-month warranty.
Lithium motorcycle batteries have just 10% of the self-discharge rate of a lead-acid battery, meaning you can leave it for months and the battery won’t die. Every JMT lithium battery we sell comes with a built-in battery condition indicator. With a single button press you can check the charge level of the battery.
JMT lithium-ion motorbike batteries use iron phosphate (LiFePO4) as the cathode material and use the lithium-polymer process in their manufacture. This means that they will not catch fire or explode in normal operation, which can happen with the cheap, low-quality lithium batteries which are less stable.
