Checking your motorcycle tyre pressures is something every biker should do, at least once a fortnight. The correct tyre pressures ensure your tyres work in the way they were designed to, keeping you safe, improving grip and feel and of course, maximising tyre life.
Digital Motorcycle Tyres Pressure Gauges
Digital pressure gauges are popular because the readout is easy to see and accurate. The battery should last well over a year. They can easily be switched to show different pressure units, from psi to bar, kpa and kg/cm². Most digital pressure gauges read up to 100psi, which means they’ll accurately measure tyre pressures on anything from a bicycle to a truck!
Analogue Motorcycle Tyre Pressure Gauges
Some bikers prefer analogue gauges. Their one main advantage over a digital gauge is that they don’t require any batteries and so they’ll always be ready to serve. Analogue gauges are at their most accurate in the central third of the dial, so for road bikes, you want a gauge with a maximum 60psi readout. If you are running high pressures you’ll want a gauge with a 100psi readout.
