Description
The Two Tyres 1-minute guide to the Bridgestone T32
What is it: A premium Sports Touring tyre designed for excellent all-weather grip and longevity.
What tyre it replaces: The Bridgestone T31
Who is it aimed at: If you’re a road rider and you want the best tyre for all conditions, the T32 is a great choice. It’s designed to return good mileage, give great wet weather performance and it’s a tyre that offers neutral and predictable handling. If you’re off on an adverture around Europe, these are ideal tyres for you.
Typically seen on: The bigger bikes tend to run sports touring and touring tyres, so anything from a Kawasaki GTR1400 or KTM SuperDuke GT to a Honda VFR1200. However we also think this is a great tyre for middleweight riders who like to ride in all conditions. The T32 will also suit a Yamaha MT-07 or a Triumph Street Triple.
Bridgestone T32 highlights: A 13% increase in contact patch over the T31 and a 7% reduction in stopping distance. Bridgestone also claim a 10% increase in mileage over the T31, which was already a good high-mileage performer.
Bridgestone T32 sizes: The T32 comes in a broad range of sizes to suit anything from A2 sportsbikes, all the way up to a 120/70-19 front and 190/55 rear which means it can run on pretty much any big adventure bike or any head-banging tourer, like the KTM Superduke 1290 GT.
Also worth a look: The sports touring category is only getting better and more competitive. The rivals to the T32 are the Michelin Road 5, the Metzeler Roadtec 01 SE or the Pirelli Angel GT2, and Continental RoadAttack3.
Fancy a sportier option? The Bridgestone S22 is a step up from the T32 in terms of outright grip and trackday potential.
A cheaper option: If you don’t need the absolute cutting edge of tyre tech then check out the Bridgestone BT-023 which is a great all year, all conditions tyre.

Bridgestone have announced the new T32 tyre, which will take over from the popular T31 as Bridgestone’s premium sports-touring motorcycle tyre.
The T32 isn’t just a new name. Bridgestone claims the T32 has a 13% increase in its contact patch over the T31 due in part to a reshaped rear tyre profile. Bridgestone have also introduced their new Pulse Groove technology, which is a system of tiny raised grooves that help channel the water away from the tyre and increase the grip on offer in all conditions.
The T32 uses a single compound front tyre and a dual compound rear and the firm claim that the T32’s stopping distance is 7% less than the T31 in damp conditions.
Finally, Bridgestone claim a huge 10% increase in mileage over the T31s, meaning you ought to easily return over 5,000 miles from a rear.
A new benchmark in the motorcycle sports touring category by Bridgestone: the new Battlax Sport Touring T32 tyre. In addition to the dedicated T32GT line-up for medium-weight and heavy motorcycles, the T32 brings together all that a sports touring motorcycle requires in terms of durability, trust and feeling in all weather conditions.
Next-generation wet weather performance
The improved overall wet performance compared to its predecessor, the Battlax Sport Touring T31, is one of the standout advantages of the Battlax Sport Touring T32. This is due to many creative and modern features in the design and compound technology of the tyre.
The tyre utilises the state-of-the-art Pulse Groove Pattern Technology from Bridgestone, which incorporates pulse-shaped grooves with tiny centre deflectors to equalise waterflow compared to a straight groove and maximise the speed of the waterflow.
The effect of Bridgestone’s Pulse Groove Pattern Technology on the wet weather performance of the Battlax Sport Touring T32 is complemented by changes from its predecessor in the pattern design of the tyre. Increased groove ratios, coupled with optimised groove angles, groove positioning and pattern stiffness, plus a rear increase of 13 percent contact patch, provide an increased overall contact area and road link with enhanced neutral and linear handling behaviour, which improves overall performance in the wet.
The Battlax Sport Touring T32’s wet weather accolades unite to give the tyre a wet braking performance that is 7 per cent shorter than its predecessor, with no sacrifice on wear life.
The technical upgrades on the Battlax Sport Touring T32 are not only visual. Tremendous efforts in terms of construction and compound combination give the sport touring tyre outstanding handling capabilities in the dry and wet, plus excellent high speed, straight and cornering stability.
A fully dedicated GT line-up
Bridgestone has produced a fully dedicated Battlax Sport Touring T32GT tyre for middleweight and heavy touring motorcycles, with technical features and a pattern design in line with the specifications for this very particular category of motorcycles.
The GT version also incorporates Bridgestone’s state of the art Pulse Groove Pattern Technology, alongside an optimised groove positioning and construction for the optimal pattern stiffness required for middleweight and heavy motorcycles. These benefits, amongst other performance features, enable an improved wet performance and grip from the Battlax Sport Touring T31, plus a 10 per cent increase in wear life from the predecessor.
Incredible performance in poor conditions
Bridgestone’s Battlax Sport Touring T32 offers full size line-up for the sport touring category. The T32 and T32GT will be available on the market in early 2021.
Commenting on this announcement was Nico Thuy, Head of Motorcycle at Bridgestone EMIA: “Battlax’s next-generation sport touring tyres, the T32 and T32GT, are the result of technical expertise and technological applications that are at the forefront of tyre development. By significantly enhancing the tyre’s connection with the road from the T31, we have created a tyre that delivers incredible performance even in poor conditions. We wanted to give riders more control and confidence in the wet and this tyre delivers exactly that. It’s great also that we’re able to bring its benefits to more motorcyclists by expanding to GT.”

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US
I wasn't sure the size inner tubes I needed, so rang. They were extremely helpful, friendly and gave me the information I needed. Within 5 minutes I had got my answers, tubes ordered, paid and receipted - wow. I am usually cautious about using someone for first time, and not local (I live in Notts). I do recommend Two Tyres. Great job guys.
Called up and was able to get an appointment for the same day to replace both tyres on my BMW R1200 GSA. Not only was it great to get seen so quickly, compared to the 5 week wait I had been quoted by Motorrad, but Chris was able to offer some advice and guidance on which tyres best suited my needs. I cannot praise the service enough from Chris and the team and I will definitely be back for my next set of tyres!
Great service from these guys, I ordered on line and accidentally ordered two items the same, maybe clicked twice waiting for the page to change. They called me to check this wasn't a mistake (which it was) and immediately refunded me for the accidental purchase and sent out just one item. I know I'll be using them to get my tyres & tubes in future.
