Triumph Daytona 660 Tyre Guide

Our recommended tyre options for Triumph’s pocket rocket.

Triumph Daytona 660 Tyre Size

The Daytona 660 runs a 120/70/17 front tyre and a 180/55/17 rear tyre.

By clicking the links above you’ll be taken to a list of every tyre we sell in that size. However, below you will find some of our best options for the ‘baby’ Daytona.

Here at Two Tyres we specialise in motorcycle tyres and we’re a manufacturer-approved fitting centre. We can supply any motorcycle tyre to you by mail order or you can have them fitted in our London motorcycle workshop.

Most Daytona owners use their bike for weekend thrills but they’re more than capable of doing everything from commuting to a European tour to trackdays. It makes sense to fit a quality tyre that’ll warm up quickly, offer plenty of edge grip and return good mileage. A budget tyre won’t cut it on this model.

Triumph Daytona 660 History

When you consider the Daytona 660’s older siblings; the Daytona 675 and Street Triple, plus their foray into Moto2, you might look at the 660’s spec sheet and come away feeling a little underwhelmed.

Yes, on paper the Daytona 660 is a lesser-spec, with less power than the Daytona 675 and a watered-down spec but at its heart is Triumph’s epic three-cylinder layout, the only triple in its class and a fundamental part of why the Daytona series is so good.

The 660 might feel watered-down to those used to the 675 but when you approach it from the opposite side, it’s a serious contender. Sub 100bhp, softer suspension and brakes make it a superb first sportsbike for any rider on their way up the motorcycling ladder.

Factor in the price sticker and the running costs and you’ve got a brilliant bike for real UK conditions, whether that’s the daily commute or a Sunday blast.

Yes, it won’t keep up with a Daytona 675 but that’s not the Daytona 660’s mission brief.

Daytona 660 Stock Tyres

The 660 model comes with Michelin Power 6 tyres as standard.

Triumph Daytona 660 Best Tyres

However you might prefer a different tyre brand or you might want a tyre that’s better suited to commuting, touring or trackdays.
