Description
The Two Tyres 1-minute guide to the Tractionator GPS
What is it: The GPS is the most road-oriented of all Motoz tyres. Its strongest suit is that it returns huge mileage. We’ve had customers who’ve covered 15,000 miles on a set (double that of most competitors). There is a downside; they’re not the best on wet tarmac.
Road / Off-Road Bias: 50% Road – 50% Off-Road
Who is it aimed at: If you ride an Adventure bike and want a hard-wearing 50:50 tyre for mixed light trail riding or trips like the TET. The front tyre size options also open this out to non-Adventure bikes.
Technical info: These are incredibly puncture-resistant and will cope if the tarmac road turns to gravel for a fair few miles. The rear doesn’t deal with sloppy mud very well but it is designed to be reversed, to offer better off-road traction. These are also made in a 120/70-17 front which can be matched with the 170/60-17 (if your bike runs a 1805517) this will work and get you and your Tracer GT away from the monotony of everyday life!
Typically seen on:Â If you ride an Adventure bike or traily and you want to cover big miles (think, riding to Morocco or doing long stages of the TET) then these are a good option. We have fitted these to everything from a CRF300L and NC750X right up to the Ducati Multistrada 1260 and BMW R1300GS.
The competition: Dunlop Mission, Heidenau K60 Scout.
