What is it: The Michelin City Grip 2 is a premium all-weather scooter tyre designed for everyday urban riding. It’s built to deliver strong wet grip, quick warm-up and dependable mileage — making it one of the best upgrades you can fit to a commuter scooter.
What tyre it replaces: The City Grip 2 is the evolution of the original City Grip, improving wet performance and longevity thanks to an updated silica-rich compound and refined tread design.
Who is it aimed at: This tyre is aimed at scooter riders who commute year-round and need reliable grip in unpredictable UK weather. It works brilliantly on 125cc scooters, but it’s equally at home on mid-size and larger maxi scooters like the Yamaha XMAX, Honda SH300i or Yamaha TMAX.
Typically seen on: You’ll commonly see City Grip 2s fitted to urban commuters, delivery scooters and larger capacity maxi-scoots used for daily transport.
City Grip 2 highlights: Silica-rich compound for excellent wet grip. ‘Shark Tooth’ tread pattern for strong water evacuation. Fast warm-up for stop-start city riding. Nimble handling for tight urban streets. Available in a wide range of tubeless scooter sizes (REINF options available)
The competition: The City Grip 2 is a great tyre but the Bridgestone Hoop is also a great all-weathers option and offers improved handling on the Michelin.

ALL TYRES HELD IN STOCK
Unlike some other retailers, all our tyres are located in the UK. If it shows as available on our website, then it's in stock. We dispatch 95% of orders within 24 hours and because they're shipped from the UK, you won't have delays or import charges.
