What is it: The Dunlop Trailmax Raid is an all new 50/50 Adventure tyre. Dunlop introduced the Trailmax Raid in 2024, it sits one above the Trailmax Mission in terms of off-road ability. It’s the most extreme tyre in Dunlop’s range for most Adventure bikes.
What tyre it replaces: It’s not a direct replacement for any tyre in Dunlop’s range but the Trailmax Raid does, to an extent, take the baton from the Dunlop D908 RR which is slightly more extreme but only available in sizes to fit a niche segment of Adventure bikes.
Who is it aimed at: The sizing options mean the Trailmax Raid will fit the vast majority of Adventure bikes produced in the past 20 years. If you ride a GS and you want to tackle the trails or you just want the bike to look purposeful, the Trailmax Raid is a good option.
Typically seen on:Â While they’re available in sizes to fit sub-400cc Adventure and Trail bikes, we mainly sell these in sizes to fit the bigger Adventure bikes, for example the Suzuki V-Strom, BMW R1250GS and Yamaha Tenere 700.
Trailmax Raid highlights: A tread pattern similar to the D908 RR which is a properly capable Enduro-style tyre. Great choice of sizes.
Tubeless or Tube Type?:Â Â All sizes of the Dunlop Raid are a tubeless fitment but will accept a tube if your rim requires one.
Trailmax Raid sizes: It’s available in a good range of fitments, with two different-sized 19″ fronts and a 21″ front, meaning it’ll fit almost all trail, enduro and adventure bikes, from the CRF250L and Tenere 700 right up to big bikes like the KTM 1290 Adventure R and BMW R1250GS.
