The VFR800 runs a 120/70/17 front tyre and a 180/55/17 rear tyre. You can click those links to see all the different tyre options for this bike. Honda VFR800 History
Funny how some things go full circle. When the VFR800 was launched it was a bit of an odd bike in the world of 600s, 1000s and then massive great big old man’s tourers. But 20 years on and the VFR800 is still going strong, perhaps stronger than ever, as the new A2 licence rules have blurred the boundaries of bike capacities and middleweight bikes are where it’s at right now. The latest model is the VFR800F which was launched in 2014 and remains pretty much as is to this day.
The VFR800 is a true do-it-all bike. From commuting to touring, it could even handle a tickle around a race track if you put some decent tyres on.
But as a bike to strap some panniers on and disappear off to France on, it’s right up there with the best.

Honda VFR800 Stock Tyres
The VFR800 has been supplied on various different OEM tyres over the years. These have mainly been supplied by Dunlop and the latest bikes are fitted with Dunlop Sportmax from the factory.
Honda VFR800 Best Tyres
Most of our customers with a VFR800 like to run a Sports Touring tyre, as they tend to use the bikes in all weathers, including long commutes and touring. Our recommended tyres are as follows:

Honda VFR800 Tyre Pressures
You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.
If you have no idea what pressures to run, this is our general rule:
Scooter: F 30psi, R 30psi
Normal Motorcycle: F 36psi, R 42psi
Big Tourer: F 42psi, R 42psi
125cc Bike: F 33psi, R 36psi
