Are metal valve caps better than plastic?

We don’t rate metal valve caps over plastic.

The main issue is that they quickly corrode and become very difficult to remove from your valve. So if you ride in all weathers or don’t check your tyre pressures frequently, you may find, with metal valve caps that it’s almost impossible to get them off.

A plastic valve cap might not look amazing but it’s there to do a job.
