CFMOTO 675SR-R Tyre Guide

Our pick of the best tyres for the cheeky Chinese triple cylinder sportsbike. Whether you’re commuting or trackdaying, we’ve got some decent suggestions for you.

CFMOTO 675 Tyre Size

The CFMOTO 675SR-R runs a 120/70/17 front tyre and a 180/55/17 rear tyre.  You can click those links to see all the different tyre options for this bike but it’ll bring up literally 100s of tyres which is not much good. Read on to see our suggestions for the best tyres depending on the type of riding you’re doing.

As motorcycle tyre specialists, accredited by the major manufacturers, we can supply any tyre to you by mail order or you can have them fitted in our London motorcycle workshop.

The Daytona-cloner runs pretty much the most common motorcycle tyre sizes and so you have plenty of choice, whether you want a tyre for Touring, Trackdays, Fast Road Riding, All Weather tyres or High Mileage tyres for commuting.

CFMOTO 675SR-R Stock Tyres

The CFMOTO comes fitted with either Maxxis Supermaxx tyres or CST S3N+ tyres. These are fairly budget tyres and not ones we’d recommend.

The good news is, if you think your CFMOTO is good now, wait until you fit some really good tyres!

CFMOTO 675 Best Tyres

The CFMOTO is designed with sporty riding in mind but its budget price tag means many will be bought for all-weather commuting as well as chasing apexes. Below are some decent tyre recommendations for different riding scenarios.

Sporty road riding

If your CFMOTO is more of a Sunday toy and you want a tyre that offers great handling, is capable of a track day and won’t drop off a cliff if you get caught in a downpour, these are for you:

Bridgestone S23

Metzeler M9RR

Michelin Power 6

Budget option: Michelin Power 2CT

Road legal Trackday

These are all road-legal but we don’t recommend you run them on the road that much (if at all) because there are far better road options that won’t square off so quickly or catch you out when they’re cold.

That said, if you are a fast road rider, looking for the ultimate in grip for sunny conditions and you don’t care about good mileage returns, these are valid options.

If you’re heading to a trackday, the beauty of these is you don’t need tyre warmers – but you do need to warm them up before unleashing the power.

Continental Race Attack 2

Dunlop D213 GP Pro

Pirelli Supercorsa V4 SC

Touring / All Weather Riding

If you ride in all weathers and want a good sporty tyre that can deal with anything, these are good options:

Metzeler Roadtec 02

Michelin Road 6

Budget option: Metzeler Z8

Daytona 675 Tyre Pressures

You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.

If you have no idea what pressures to run, this is our general rule:

Daytona 675 Road: F 36psi, R 42psi

Daytona 675 Track Hot Pressures: F 33psi, R 36psi

You should always check your tyre pressures when the tyres are cold. Check out our range of motorcycle tyre pressure gauges here.

Choosing tyres can be tricky. We’re here to help. We hold direct accounts with every motorcycle tyre manufacturer, so we’re well placed to give comprehensive and honest advice to help you choose the best tyres. If you can’t quite make your mind up, give us a call on 0207 205 2205 and we’ll help you narrow down your choices.

We are motorcycle and scooter tyre specialists, with over 25 years in the trade. Between us we fit 10 pairs of tyres a day in our workshop, so we have good real-world experience of what works and what doesn’t.

We ride to work, we ride for fun, we race and ride off-road. If it’s got two wheels, we’re into it.

Give us a call or drop into our London motorcycle workshop and we’ll do our best to help you.

Are your tyre pressures letting you down?

We couldn’t find a tyre pressure gauge that was well-built, easy to get on-and-off the valve without pressure loss and could stand up to day-to-day abuse in our workshop. So we found a manufacturer to build one to our exacting standards.

We’re confident this is the best motorcycle pressure gauge out there. That’s why it comes with a 3-year, no-nonsense, money back guarantee.

Whether you want a digital tyre pressure gauge or a good old-fashioned analogue pressure gauge, we’ve got a gauge for you. Now you can quickly and easily check your pressures, to keep your bike handling well and to ensure you stay safe.
