Kawasaki Z H2 Tyre Guide

Our pick of the best tyres for the mighty supercharged Z H2.

Kawasaki Z H2 Tyre Size

The Z runs a 120/70-17 front tyre and a 190/55-17 rear tyre.

These are common tyre sizes, especially on big bikes and so you have a wide range of options (well over 60 different models when we last counted).

Below we share our opinion on the best tyres for UK riders.

Kawasaki Z H2 History

Introduced in 2020, the naked H2 is the latest in Kawasaki’s well-established line-up of supercharged bikes. First came the Ninja H2, then the H2 SX super-tourer and now the big Z which is the most powerful naked production bike ever made (so far..!).

Big power at 197bhp but also big weight at 239kg. Despite the big figures it’s not as savage on tyres as you would think.

Kawasaki Z H2 Stock Tyres

The supercharged Z comes with Pirelli Rosso 3 tyres as standard. These are decent ‘neutral’ sports tyres but the OEM ones for the Z feature a stiffer carcass than the stock Rosso 3.

The Best Tyres for the Z H2

We know that not many of these beasts will be used for commuting or trackdays but here are your best options for UK roads.

Kawasaki Z H2 Tyre Pressures

You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.

If you have no idea what pressures to run, this is our general rule:

Scooter: F 30psi, R 30psi

Normal Motorcycle: F 36psi, R 42psi

Big Tourer: F 42psi, R 42psi

125cc Bike: F 33psi, R 36psi

You should always check your tyre pressures when the tyres are cold. Check out our range of motorcycle tyre pressure gauges here.

Are your tyre pressures letting you down?

We couldn’t find a tyre pressure gauge that was well-built, easy to get on-and-off the valve without pressure loss and could stand up to day-to-day abuse in our workshop. So we found a manufacturer to build one to our exacting standards.

We’re confident this is the best motorcycle pressure gauge out there. That’s why it comes with a 3-year, no-nonsense, money back guarantee.

Whether you want a digital tyre pressure gauge or a good old-fashioned analogue pressure gauge, we’ve got a gauge for you. Now you can quickly and easily check your pressures, to keep your bike handling well and to ensure you stay safe.
