What is it: Pirelli’s premium sports touring tyre, taking over from the original GT. The GT stands for Gran Turismo and it signifies this tyre’s ability to tackle all roads and weather conditions and return great mileage too.
What tyre it replaces: The Angel GT2 replaces the original Angel GT.
Who is it aimed at: If you ride a big bike over big miles but you don’t want to sacrifice handling and grip the GT2 is a great option. It’s Pirelli’s premium sports-touring tyre and leans on Pirelli’s racing technology, with a tyre profile that brings out the best in your bike’s handling. However, it doesn’t fall short on wet weather performance and returns good mileage.
Typically seen on: A firm favourite of big and fast mile munchers like the Suzuki Hayabusa, Yamaha FJR1300, BMW R1200RS and Kawasaki Z1000SX. We spent a day riding a BMW R1250GS on the Angel GT2 and it’s a superb tyre on this bike. If you’re a road-riding Adventure-bike owner, definitely shortlist a pair of these.
