Honda CB500X and F Tyre Size
There are two different tyre sizes on the CB500X and one tyre size on the CB500F.
The first generation of CB500X and all the CB500Fs run a 120/70/17 front tyre and a 160/60/17 rear tyre.
The 2019 and onwards CB500X runs more adventure-based sizes; a 110/80/19 front tyre and a 160/60/17 rear tyre.
The 110/80 front on the newer CB500X is a great choice by Honda. Some Adv bikes run a 100/90 front but that limits your on-road tyre options. In the 110/80/19 you can run great tyres like the Metzeler Roadtec 02 and the Michelin Road 5 Trail and Bridgestone T32 as well as a host of proper off-road rubber.
You can click those links to see all the different tyres available in the sizes for this bike. However below we have recommended what we consider to be the best options for the 85.
As motorcycle tyre specialists, accredited by the major manufacturers, we can supply any tyre to you by mail order or you can have them fitted in our London motorcycle workshop.
All the 500cc Hondas run common tyre sizes and so you have plenty of choices, whether you want a tyre for Commuting, Trail Riding, Touring or some proper Off-Road.
Honda CB500 History
You can trace the history of the current CB500 range all the way back to 1995. That’s when Honda introduced the CB500, which was a firm favourite with motorcycle test centres, couriers and it even spawned a one-make race series, once won by James Toseland.
The modern Honda 500s follow the ethos of the original bike; a reliable budget bike that’s capable of clocking up 100,000 miles and putting a smile on your face at the same time.
