The 1200cc Thruxton R runs a 120/70/17 front tyre and a 160/60/17 rear tyre.

Triumph Thruxton R and RSÂ History
Introduced in 2016, the Thruxton R was the last bike to be unveiled in Triumph’s new Bonneville range. Looking at the bike on the spec sheet alone you’d think it was a superbike: 43mm upside-down big piston front suspension, Ohlins rear shock, Brembo radial calipers, traction control and sticky Pirelli Rosso tyres.
In 2020 Triumph introduced the Thruxton RS, which is just like the R but with a bit more of everything. Updated brakes, less weight and 7bhp more. What’s not to love?

The OEM tyre supplied on the Thruxton R was the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa which was a sticky road and track tyre. It has since been replaced by the Rosso Corsa 2.

You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.
If you have no idea what pressures to run, this is our general rule:
Scooter: F 30psi, R 30psi
Normal Motorcycle: F 36psi, R 42psi
Big Tourer: F 42psi, R 42psi
125cc Bike: F 33psi, R 36psi
