If you’re riding to a trackday on your road bike and you don’t have a set of tyre warmers, you just need to give your tyres a couple of laps at a slower pace to build heat and then you can pick up the pace. It’s worth mentioning that most motorcycle trackday organisers will rent you a set of tyre warmers. If you’ve not tried them, give them a go, you’ll get more track time and better wear from your tyres.
