Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Tyre Size
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 runs a 110/70/17 front tyre and a 140/70/17 rear tyre. You can click those links to see all the different tyre options for this bike.Â
Royal Enfield recommends 29 psi in the front tyre and 32 psi in the rear when riding solo. The rear pressure increases to 36 psi when carrying a pillion.
There is a good selection of replacement tyres in the original sizes, ranging from affordable everyday tyres to premium options offering better wet-weather performance and sportier handling.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350Â History
Launched in 2022, the Hunter 350—or HNTR 350—is Royal Enfield’s compact, road-focused 350. It uses the company’s 349cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine in a lighter, more urban package than the Classic 350.
Its 17-inch alloy wheels, accessible seat height and neutral riding position make it well suited to commuting and everyday road riding. The current UK model retains the same 110/70-17 front and 140/70-17 rear tyre sizes, giving owners a useful selection of replacement options.
The Hunter is not a high-powered motorcycle, so outright track-focused grip is rarely the priority. Quick warm-up, confidence in the wet, easy steering and sensible durability are likely to matter more to most owners.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350Â Stock Tyres
The Hunter 350 came fitted with CEAT tyres as standard. These are OK tyres but you can absolutely fit a far superior tyre. Once you’ve made your decision on the CEAT tyres as to whether they suit your riding, you can look at replacement upgrades. The bike will handle far better and you’ll have more confidence with a quality tyres underneath you.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Best Tyres
The stock CEATs are a budget tyre but they do the job for regular commuting. However if you want to try something else, you have lots of options as the tyre sizes are commonly used (mainly on sporty 125cc machines), so you can fit some ultra sticky tyres or go for a more retro look.
Sports tyre options
Continental ContiAttack SM2 – A very sporty option with quick steering and high dry-road grip. It makes most sense for riders who use the Hunter mainly for weekend riding rather than year-round commuting.
Michelin Power 6 – A premium sports tyre offering strong dry grip, quick warm-up and good wet-weather ability. It is more performance-focused than most Hunter owners require, but it suits riders who want a sharper, sportier feel.
Pirelli Diablo Rosso Sport – A more wallet friendly sports option. Still very capable.

Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR – run the slightly wider 150/60-17 rear.
Dunlop Mutant Hybrid – run the slightly wider 150/60-17 rear.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350Â Tyre Pressures
You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.
Royal Enfield recommends the following cold tyre pressures for the Hunter 350:
- Solo riding: 29 psi front and 32 psi rear
- With a pillion: 29 psi front and 36 psi rear
Check the pressures when the tyres are cold, ideally before riding. Pressure naturally rises as the tyres warm up, so do not release air from a hot tyre simply to return it to the cold setting.
The pressures above are Royal Enfield’s road recommendations for the standard tyre sizes. Also check the owner’s manual and the information displayed on your particular motorcycle.

Can I fit a wider rear tyre to the Hunter?
We recommend retaining the standard 140/70-17 rear size.
A wider tyre is not automatically grippier or better. When fitted to the original rim, it may produce a pinched profile that changes the handling rather than improving it. A different overall diameter can also affect clearance, gearing and the motorcycle’s electronic systems.
The Hunter already has a good selection of tyres in its original sizes, so there is normally little benefit in changing them.
Does the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 use inner tubes?
Yes. The UK Hunter 350 uses 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless front and rear tyres.
A puncture may be repairable if the damage is within the suitable area of the tread and meets the relevant repair criteria. Damage to the sidewall, shoulder or tyre structure generally requires replacement.
Can I fit a 150-section rear to the Hunter 350?
We recommend retaining the standard 140/70-17 size. A wider tyre can alter the fitted profile, steering, clearance and rolling circumference.
