What is it: Pirelli’s latest premium sports-touring tyre, combining sporty handling, excellent wet-weather grip and long-distance comfort. The GT stands for Gran Turismo, and the new GT3 builds on its predecessors with easier handling, improved durability and more consistent performance.
What tyre it replaces: The Angel GT3 replaces the hugely popular Pirelli Angel GT2.
Who is it aimed at: If you ride a large capacity, powerful motorcycle and cover serious miles but still enjoy a twisty road, the GT3 should be right up your street. Pirelli has focused on making the tyre smoother and less demanding to ride without losing the precise steering and sporty handling it’s known for. Improved wet-weather performance makes it particularly appealing for British roads. If you ride a lightweight bike, check out the Angel ST.
Typically seen on: Sports-tourers such as the Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX, BMW R1250RS and Yamaha Tracer 9 GT. It’s also a great option for powerful naked bikes like the KTM 1390 SD.
Angel GT3 highlights: Lighter, more intuitive handling, improved wet-weather grip and more consistent performance as the tyre wears. A redesigned rear tread aims to improve mileage and reduce rolling noise, making longer journeys more comfortable.
Angel GT3 tyre sizes: Available from January 2027 in three popular 17-inch sizes: 120/70 front, plus 180/55 and 190/55 rears, covering a wide range of sports-tourers, naked bikes and road-focused adventure bikes. No Adventure-bike sizes have been announced as yet.
A budget-conscious option: If you don’t need the latest technology, the Angel GT2 remains an excellent sports-touring tyre and is great value. Alternatively, check out the original Pirelli Angel GT, which still sells by the truck load.
The competition: The Angel GT3 goes head-to-head with the Michelin Road 6, Bridgestone T33, Metzeler Roadtec 02 and Continental RoadAttack 4.

Unlike some other retailers, all our tyres are located in the UK. If it shows as available on our website, then it's in stock. We dispatch 95% of orders within 24 hours and because they're shipped from the UK, you won't have delays or import charges.
