Bridgestone S23
We rode on the new S23 at the world launch in Kyalami, South Africa. It's a capable tyre on track but, like the S22 that came before it, the ace up its sleeve is that it's a brilliant real-world sports tyre for UK roads (and weather conditions!)

Description
The Two Tyres 1-minute guide to the Bridgestone S23
What is it: The S23 is Bridgestone’s latest motorcycle tyre for fast road riding. The multi-compound tyres are designed to offer a harder-wearing central section and softer shoulders, to enable maximum wear and improved edge grip.
What tyre it replaces: It replaced the Bridgestone S22
Who is it aimed at: While it’s trackday capable, we recommend this tyre for pure road riders. It is a great sports tyre with loads of grip but it’s also a very good choice thanks to its fast warm-up and performance in mixed conditions.
Typically seen on: Think sportsbike and performance machines. From the Yamaha MT-07 to the Honda FireBlade.
Bridgestone S23 highlights: Dual compound fronts and tri-compound rears give you longevity, fast warm-up and great edge grip. High silica content in the front tyre gives you superb front-end feel and confidence.
Bridgestone S23 sizes: Currently available for middleweight to ‘big bike’ sizes. 120/70-17 fronts and rears from 160 to 200-section.
A more extreme option: Bridgestone have dropped the R11 but the RS11 is a step up in terms of grip, with a trade-off in terms of wet-weather performance and warm-up times. We’d only go for the RS11 over the S23 if you were regularly riding to trackdays.
A budget option: Now the S23 is on the scene, we’ve decreased the prices of the S21, which is an older tyre but still plenty capable.
The competition: This is a competitive category and we’re spoilt for choice. The S23 goes up against the Metzeler M9RR, the Pirelli Rosso 4, the Michelin Power 6 and lesser-known but still brilliant Continental Sport Attack 4.
