Honda X-ADV Tyre Guide

The Honda X-ADV comes with a funky tyre size combo but we’ve got some great options for you, no matter where you ride.

Honda X-ADV Tyre Size

The funky X-ADV  runs a 120/70/17 front tyre and a 160/60/15 rear tyre.

You can click those links to see all the different tyres available in those sizes. However, read below for our top picks for this bike.

As motorcycle tyre specialists, accredited by the major manufacturers, we can supply any tyre to you by mail order or you can have them fitted in our London motorcycle workshop.

The X-ADV runs an odd-size tyre combo. You won’t find it on many (any!) other bikes. However there are still some good choices, whether you’re after super sticky fast-road rubber, something for the trails or something for the daily commute.

Honda X-ADV History

Introduced in 2017, the X-ADV is in a league of its own. It has a funky look but a seriously startling price tag. It is however a practical bike, and a great commuter for those who want something a little different.

Although it’s an ‘Adventure Scooter’ its off-road ability is limited by a few factors: small wheels, its heavy weight, low ground clearance and well, that lack of clutch. Still, if you fancy a challenge…

Honda X-ADV Stock Tyres

The Honda X-ADV came with Bridgestone Trailwing tyres as standard in some countries. In the UK you’re more likely to find the Michelin Pilot Road 4 or Bridgestone SC tyres fitted to them. Most owners like the stock tyres.

Honda X-ADV Best Tyres

You could fit tyres that are designed for sportier riding or tyres designed for higher mileage and better suited to commuting and all-weather grip.

Sticky tyre options

If you like to use your X-ADV for fast road riding, we think these tyres are better options than the stock tyres supplied with the bike.

Pirelli Rosso Scooter Radial

Michelin Power 3 SC

All-weather options

The stock tyres are good for distance work and wet-weather grip. If you want improved performance or a good budget option, check out these tyres:

Bridgestone SC2 Radial Scooter

Metzeler Roadtec Scooter Radial

Michelin Pilot Road 4 Scooter

Trail Riding

Considering the X-ADV is billed as a part-road, part-adventure bike there aren’t that many trail options. However the Rally STR is the most hardcore of them all.

Bridgestone Trailwing

Bridgestone AX41S

Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR

Honda X-ADV Tyre Pressures

You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.

If you have no idea what pressures to run, this is our general rule:

Scooter: F 30psi, R 30psi

Normal Motorcycle: F 36psi, R 42psi

Big Tourer: F 42psi, R 42psi

125cc Bike: F 33psi, R 36psi

You should always check your tyre pressures when the tyres are cold. Check out our range of motorcycle tyre pressure gauges here.

Are your tyre pressures letting you down?

We’re confident this is the best motorcycle pressure gauge out there. That’s why it comes with a 3-year, no-nonsense, money back guarantee.

Whether you want a digital tyre pressure gauge or a good old-fashioned analogue pressure gauge, we’ve got a gauge for you. Now you can quickly and easily check your pressures, to keep your bike handling well and to ensure you stay safe.
