KTM 1290 Super Adventure Tyre Size
There are quite few different versions of KTM’s beast of an adventure bike, the 1290 Super Adventure. The tyre sizes are as follows:
KTM 1290 Super Adventure runs a 120/70/19 front tyre and a 170/60/17 rear tyre.
KTM 1290 Super Adventure R a 90/90/21 front tyre and a 150/70/18 rear tyre.
KTM 1290 Super Adventure S runs a 120/70/19 front tyre and a 170/60/17 rear tyre.
KTM 1290 Super Adventure T runs a 120/70/19 front tyre and a 170/60/17 rear tyre.

KTM 1290 Super Adventure History
There’s the regular Super Adventure, then the R version which is geared up for off-road riding with its spoked 21-inch front wheel and 18″ rear. Then there’s the S version which is a spiced-up version of the original bike but it runs cast wheels and shorter-travel suspension. Then there’s the T model which stands for Travel or Touring or perhaps Tank Range because it sports a 30-litre tank, 5-litres larger than the R and S models. However strangely the T model also has spoked wheels.
KTM 1290 Super Adventure Stock Tyres
The stock tyres on the SA1290 vary from model to model and by year. The 2021 Super Adventure R comes with Bridgestone AX41 tyres as OEM. The 2017 version came on Continental Trail Attack 2 tyres. The Super Adventure T came on Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 tyres as standard. The 2021 Super Adventure S comes with Mitas Terra Force R tyres as stock.

KTM 1290 Super Adventure Tyre Pressures
You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.
If you have no idea what pressures to run, this is our general rule:
Scooter: F 30psi, R 30psi
Normal Motorcycle: F 36psi, R 42psi
Big Tourer: F 42psi, R 42psi
125cc Bike: F 33psi, R 36psi
