The middleweight Duke has run the same tyre size since its launch in 2018 to the present day. It runs a 120/70/17 front tyre and a 180/55/17 rear tyre. The R models also run the same tyre sizes.

KTM 790 and 890 History
The playful middleweight twin-cylinder Duke hit the bullseye when it was launched in 2018 and the revised 890 model, which was launched at the tail end of 2020 moved it up a notch to battle stiffer competition. It’s a feature-packed fun bike that’s equally handy cutting through traffic on the daily commuter as it is slicing through backmarkers at your local trackday.

KTM 790 Duke Stock Tyres
The 790 Duke came with Maxxis Supermaxx ST tyres as standard. The 890 Duke comes with Continental Conti Road tyres as standard and the 890 Duke R comes with Michelin Power Cup 2. This eclectic mix of tyres proves that KTM pick the best tyres for the bike and aren’t restricted by signing up to a single tyre manufacturer agreement.

KTM 790 and 890 Duke Tyre Pressures
You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.
If you have no idea what pressures to run, this is our general rule:
Scooter: F 30psi, R 30psi
Normal Motorcycle: F 36psi, R 42psi
Big Tourer: F 42psi, R 42psi
125cc Bike: F 33psi, R 36psi
