Kawasaki ZZR1400 Tyre Size
The ZZR1400 has run the same tyre size since its launch in 2004 to the present day. It runs a 120/70/17 front tyre and a 190/50/17 rear tyre. However, you can also run the 190/55/17 rear tyre as it opens up a few more options.

Most ZZR1400 owners use their bike all year round for fast road riding and touring but we do have some customers who trackday theirs too. It makes sense to fit a quality tyre that’ll warm up quickly, offer plenty of edge grip and return good mileage to handle all that power.
The ZZR1400 runs common tyre sizes and so you have plenty of choices, whether you want a tyre for Commuting, Fast Road Riding or that touring trip to Europe.

Launched in 2006 the ZZR1400 has had one major update, in 2012, when it was fairly heavily revised and included traction control and ABS.

Not many people rated the S20 tyres that came on the second-generation ZZR1400 but I did 186mph on them and got my knee down (but not at the same time). I thought they were decent.

Typically the ZZR1400 is used all year long for touring and fast road riding but we do have customers who use them to commute. We even have a few customers who trackday them. Whatever you use your ZZR14 for, these are our recommended tyre options:

You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.
If you have no idea what pressures to run, this is our general rule:
Scooter: F 30psi, R 30psi
Normal Motorcycle: F 36psi, R 42psi
Big Tourer: F 42psi, R 42psi
125cc Bike: F 33psi, R 36psi
