Ducati Panigale V2 Tyre Size
The V2 Panigale runs a 120/70/17 front tyre and a 180/60/17 rear tyre.
By clicking the links above you’ll be taken to a list of every tyre we sell in that size. However, below you will find some of our best options for the ‘baby’ Panigale.
Here at Two Tyres we specialise in motorcycle tyres and we’re a manufacturer-approved fitting centre. We can supply any motorcycle tyre to you by mail order or you can have them fitted in our London motorcycle workshop.
Most V2 owners use their bike for weekend thrills and trackdays but they’re more than capable of taking on a European tour or even the daily commute. It makes sense to fit a quality tyre that’ll warm up quickly, offer plenty of edge grip and return good mileage. A budget tyre won’t cut it on this model.
The V2 tyre sizes are quite common, although that 180/60 rear tyre size does limit your options compared to the 180/55. That said, you stll have plenty of choice, whether you want a tyre for Trackdays, Commuting, Fast Road Riding or that touring trip to Europe.
Ducati Panigale V2 History
Introduced mid-2020 and looking more like its bigger (and elder) siblings from the V4 range, the Panigale V2 is essentially a heavily tweaked Ducati Panigale 959. Visual changes include the single-sided swingarm, a return to the underslung exhaust and a fairing that looks similar to the V4 Panigale range.

Ducati Panigale V2 Best Tyres
Typically the V2 Panigale is a bike for the biker who wants one do-it-all weapon in the garage. Most are used for pleasure riding but we do have customers who use them to commute and some who use them to go performance touring. Quite a few of our customers also take them on track. Whatever you use your V2 for, here are our recommended tyre options:
Fast Road Riding
If you’re a weekend thrill-seeker and you want a tyre that’s perfectly suited ot the UK’s road and weather conditions, these are some great choices.
Trackdays
If you’re riding to trackdays or just vanning the bike there, these tyres will give you all the edge grip you need to stay at the sharp-end of the fast group.
Commuting
If you want the ultimate in fast warm-up, wet weather ability and mileage then check out these sports-touring tyres. You’ll have to switch to a 180/55 from the 180/60 rear but that only changes the height of the tyre, by approximately 8-10mm. If you’re riding in all weathers or planning that European trip, it’s worth considering.
Touring
If you are after the best mileage and a tyre that grips in all conditions, check out the options below. Again you’ll need to switch to the 180/55 profile.
Ducati Panigale V2 Tyre Pressures
You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.
If you have no idea what pressures to run, this is our general rule:
Scooter: F 30psi, R 30psi
Normal Motorcycle: F 36psi, R 42psi
Big Tourer: F 42psi, R 42psi
125cc Bike: F 33psi, R 36psi
You should always check your tyre pressures when the tyres are cold. Check out our range of motorcycle tyre pressure gauges here.
