BMW R nineT Tyre Size
The 1170cc BMW R nineT runs a 120/70/17 front tyre and a 180/55/17 rear tyre. You can click those links to see all the different tyre options for this bike. BMW R nineT History
Introduced in 2014 the, the R nineT has its looks inspired by the R32, a bike that was built by BMW 90 years ago in 1923. The retro looks somewhat hide the fact that this is a performance motorcycle, not an old chugger The 1170cc air/oil cooled boxer engine is well proven and produces around 110bhp and 85ftlb n standard trim.
There are stacks of variations including the Pure, the Scrambler, the Urban G/s, and the Racer. All of which have spawned a thousand owner modifications, meaning a stock second hand model is harder to come by.
2014:Â Â The R nineT was introduced and featured a 110bhp engine and unadjustable S1000RR-derived forks, and an 18-litre tank, all in all weighing in at a not too lumpy 220kg. The black and silver version is the only colourway available on the bike’s launch. Planned as a one-off bike, it was so successful it is still in production today.
2017: Plenty of updates including the ‘kombi’ R1200R instruments which are then replaced with neater twin dials with small digital gauges. The front forks are now fully adjustable and the engine, chassis and spokes have a black finish.

BMW R nineT Tyre Pressures
You can find your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures in your owner’s handbook. You’ll also find a tyre pressure chart sticker on the swingarm.
If you have no idea what pressures to run, this is our general rule:
Scooter: F 30psi, R 30psi
Normal Motorcycle: F 36psi, R 42psi
Big Tourer: F 42psi, R 42psi
125cc Bike: F 33psi, R 36psi
