What is it: The Metzeler Tourance Next 2 is a premium road-focused adventure tyre designed for modern ADV bikes that spend most of their time on tarmac. It represents a significant leap forward in wet grip, braking performance and all-round road handling compared to the outgoing model.
What tyre it replaces: The Tourance Next 2 replaces the original Tourance Next, improving on it in wet braking, stability and overall confidence — especially in poor conditions.
Who is it aimed at: This tyre is aimed at adventure bike riders who primarily ride on the road — commuting, touring and weekend scratching — but want the commanding riding position and versatility of an ADV machine. If your GS, Multistrada or similar rarely leaves the black stuff, this is exactly the type of tyre you should be running.
Typically seen on: You’ll commonly see the Next 2 fitted to bikes like the BMW R1250GS, KTM 1290 Super Adventure, Ducati Multistrada and other mid-to-big-capacity adventure tourers.
Tourance Next 2 highlights: Benchmark wet braking performance (shorter stopping distances in the wet). Agile, neutral handling with strong front-end feel. Designed specifically for the latest generation of heavyweight adventure bikes

The competition: The Tourance Next 2 competes directly with the Continental Trail Attack 3, Michelin Anakee Road and Pirelli Scorpion Trail 3 in the road-biased adventure segment.

Unlike some other retailers, all our tyres are located in the UK. If it shows as available on our website, then it's in stock. We dispatch 95% of orders within 24 hours and because they're shipped from the UK, you won't have delays or import charges.
