Description
The Provacell 30cm fused SAE eyelet lead connects to your Ducati’s underseat power socket (often referred to as a DDA port) and enables you to charge your bike with any SAE battery charger.
Works on all 2010 – 2019 Ducati models (except for the 848 and 1198SP). Post-2019, most Ducati models came with the Euro 5 port – but check your model, it may still have the DDA.
Using this battery charger adapter is a lot easier than wiring a harness directly to the battery, which on a lot of Ducati models requires the removal of fairing panels. Just plug this lead in and tuck the SAE end under your seat or make it accessible from within your fairing using a cable tie to keep it secure. Then you can quickly and easily connect a charger to your Ducati.
We’ve listed compatible models below. You will find the connector under the pillion seat on most of these Ducati models. Please note, pre-2009 Ducati models with a DDA port cannot be charged with this lead, despite there being a DDA connector it is a different type and will not charge your bike. If your connector is red, it will most likely be a Euro5 socket which this lead is not compatible with.
Just fit one of these Ducati trickle charger leads to each one of your compatible Ducatis and then easily switch your battery charger over to maintain the batteries.

The Ducati DDA plug is factory installed starting from all Model Year 2010 (MY ’10) to 2020 (2020 Euro 5 models excluded), and the Monster family Model Year 2009 (MY ’09) to 2020 (2020 Euro 5 models excluded). This cable Should NOT be used on motorcycle of families Superbike, Streetfighter and Sportclassic, and Hypermotard and Multistrada produced earlier than 2010 Model Year (MY ’09) as even though they have a DDA port, it is a different type and will not accept charge.
Fits Optimate, Oxford, Battery Tender and all other motorcycle battery chargers that use the common SAE connection. A similar product to the Optimate O47 Ducati Lead.
