International security standards agency ART, have awarded the Beast a 5 star rating. ART produce a 1-5 rating (5 being the strongest) based on a whole variety of tests performed by both machines (tensile strength, torsion strength, cutting, corrosion, dust and freeze tests) and by test engineers (brute and intelligent attack tests).
The Beast has a key replacement service. When you buy your Beast, simply note down the number which comes attached to the keys on a metal tag. Keep this in a safe place, then in the event that you are unfortunate enough to lose all your keys, it will be possible to get a new key made up for you.
This Beast lock has undergone rigorous independent testing and has Sold Secure Motorcycle DIAMOND. There is no higher Sold Secure accolade. Bennetts Test
The team at Bennetts couldn’t break this chain with a sledge hammer attack or bolt-croppers and rated it excellent against an angle-grinder attack.
Here is what they said in their Beast Chain review:
“An angle-grinder is the only real way this chain will be beaten, and cut times are up there with the best we’ve tested. A criminal will make a lot of noise and attract a lot of attention while they’re working on this chain.
While we tested the 1.5m length, I’d recommend considering the 2.0m as you’ll need to have the bike very close to whatever you’re securing it to. Also, remember that not all ground anchors will accept a 22mm chain, but the Oxford Beast Anchor does.”
