Dunlop’s Geomax MX53 returns to the original concept of intermediate tyres, but throws in all the learnings from years of competing at the highest level of motocross racing. Making true on it’s promise of a real intermediate package, a big leap forward has been made on softer terrain, while preserving performance on firm and severe underground.
The Dunlop Geomax MX-53 is a Medium Terrain Motocross tyre offering riders:
- Intermediate tyre with an exceptionally wide scope of application.
- Increased versatility, enhanced handling, better braking performance and feedback.
- Taller tread blocks with a deeper biting edge, for true intermediate performance.
- More progressive cornering for an increase in overall rider control.
- Much improved performance on softer terrain versus the old Geomax MX-52.
- This tyre is not road legal.

- PROGRESSIVE CORNERING BLOCK TECHNOLOGY (PCBT) – Dunlop’s new patented Progressive Cornering Block Technology (PCBT) increases block flexibility to achieve greater slide control, partnered with twin edges delivers tightened cornering grip.
- ADVANCED APEX DESIGN (AAD) – Thinner and longer apex shape provides uniform rigidity in tyre sidewall. Sidewall deflects evenly when a load is applied to tire. A firm feeling and high degree of compliance contribute to increased predictability.
