Can I put a rear tyre on the front or vice versa?

You can with some tyres.

Some are what is known as ‘Universal’ which means they can be used on the front or rear of the bike, you just need to look at the sidewall to see if it mentions Universal.

The bikes that can run universal tyres tend to be scooters or small motorcycles like 125s. That’s because these bikes commonly run the same size tyre on the front and rear and so they can be made as a universal fitment.
