We recommend you check your motorcycle tyre pressures every fortnight.
Obviously the rate at which you check your pressures depends on how often you use your bike but if it’s a daily workhorse, a fortnightly check is advisable.
It only takes 5 minutes to check your motorcycle’s tyre pressures but we understand that life gets in the way of things like this. So even if you’re not that inclined to get on your knees on a cold garage floor and check your tyres every couple of weeks, at a minimum check them before you go out on your bike if you haven’t ridden it for a month or so.
Tyres are porous and naturally lose pressure over time and low pressures will seriously affect your bike’s handling and your safety.
It’s worth mentioning that if you do check your pressures, make sure you have the ability to inflate your tyres as you can lose quite a bit of pressure just trying to get your pressure gauge on the valve, especially if you don’t have right-angled valves.
