Derived from the D212 GP Pro – Dunlop’s Isle of Man TT race specification bloodline, the new GP Racer SLICK D212 delivers the ultimate race level grip for demanding track day riders, endurance and stock class racers.

- NTEC system allows pressure adjustment for track conditions.
- Revised centre and shoulder compounds for maximum dry grip.

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR TRACK DAY
In typical UK temperatures on most circuits, our recommendation for GP Racer series tyres is to use the harder M compound on the front, and E compound on the rear.

Dunlop were the first to apply race tyre performance standards to street tyres. With engineers and designers across Europe, Japan and North America.
- MULTI-TREAD (MT) TECHNOLOGY – Years of success in global Superbike, Endurance and GP championships have resulted in the development of a pioneering multi-compound, which is transferred to many of our current Sportmax track and road products. By mixing compounds, the same tyre can display different performance properties at maximum leaning angles than when upright during straight line speed.
- JOINTLESS BELT (JLB) CONSTRUCTION – All our radial street tyres are designed using a combination of Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as JointLess Belt (JLB) construction (either front or rear). JLB construction eliminates the belt overlaps resulting in smoother handling and a more stable contact patch with the road.
- NTEC – Dunlop’s ingenious NTEC pressure adjust system allows the rider to optimise the tyre by adjusting inflation pressure. For dry track days, deflating the tyre will deliver predictable and tenacious handling on the limit. Back on the road, re-inflating to the manufacturer’s recommended pressures will reward the rider with class-leading levels of grip and performance.
- JOINTLESS TREAD (JLT) – Jointless Tread (JLT) strip-winding technology allows multiple compounds to be precisely positioned on the tyre to achieve advantages in durability, wear resistance, grip from the tread centre to shoulder and high-speed tyre stability.

DUNLOP GP RACER D212 WINS PERFORMANCE BIKES TYRE TEST.
It’s fact. The highly respected Performance Bikes magazine has rated the latest Dunlop GP Racer SLICK D212 as the top tyre in test of five brands.
It all happened at Europe’s fastest racing circuit – the demanding Rockingham Motor Speedway in the UK. The magazine put the tyres to the test using the 9-turn National Circuit for its combination of heavy braking zones, long traction areas and corner sequences. It’s some mighty test for the tyres ability to handle quick direction changes!
The slick versions of each manufacturer’s latest track day offerings were tested. Then feedback was gathered from two expert riders – neither knew what make of tyre they were testing. We’re talking about no less than the racing legend Chris Walker, World Superbike race winner and John McAvoy, Performance Bikes Road Tester. They both used the Kawasaki ZX-10R for the test.
10/10 FOR BEST TURN IN CHARACTERISTICS.

This is the latest success for the Dunlop GP Racer D212. Available in slick and road legal versions, the latter was used to win the final round of the French Superbike Championship. That’s where Lucas Mahias rode the GMT94 Yamaha to victory in both Supersport races.
