The Bridgestone Battlax Adventure A42 is the latest generation of Bridgestone’s road-focused adventure touring tyre, replacing the popular A41. Designed for adventure motorcycles that spend most of their time on tarmac, it combines confident wet-weather performance, excellent mileage and comfortable handling for everyday riding and long-distance touring.
New rubber compounds and an updated tread pattern improve grip in wet conditions while significantly extending tyre life. Compared with the A41, Bridgestone reports 18% longer front tyre life and 25% longer rear tyre life, alongside a 15% reduction in tyre noise. The revised construction also provides a larger contact patch for improved stability and riding comfort.
Whether commuting, exploring winding country roads or covering serious motorway miles, the A42 is designed to deliver dependable, consistent performance in a wide range of conditions.

Technologies:
HIGH TENSILE SUPER PENETRATED CORD (HTSPC)
- Steel cord material is made of individually rubber insulated inner filaments with high thermal conductivity this to enhance heat transfer and reduce the risk of blowout. The features promote high speed stability, grip, absorption and durability.
MONO SPIRAL (MS) BELT
- Lightweight and durable cords, wrapped around the circumference of the tyre to provide a smooth grip feeling. This contributes to high performance with weight reduction, grip improvement, rotational stability, high speed performance and damping effect.
SILICA RICH EX FOR FRONT TYRE
- Performance in wet conditions is improved by greatly increasing the amount of silica compared to conventional SILICA RICH.
RC POLYMER
- RC Polymer technology optimizes the distribution of silica in the rubber compound and improves tread flexibility, allowing greater contact with the road surface in both hot and cold conditions. The reduction in molecular friction also improves rolling resistance, therefore increasing fuel economy.
NANOPRO-TECHâ„¢
- Bridgestone’s NanoPro-Tech™ technology optimises tyre performance on a molecular level. This helps reduce friction, heat and tread deformation during tyre rotation, resulting in better tread grip and longer wear life.
3 LAYER COMPOUND (3LC) + CAP & BASE
- 3LC gives centre-tread mileage and shoulder grip, while the underlying Cap & Base layer enhances tread stiffness for better grip, shock absorption and all-weather performance.
3LC
- Bridgestone’s advanced 3-layer compound technology for your front tyre. The dual compound is hard in the tread centre to give you heavy-braking stability, linear handling and high mileage. On the shoulders the compound is soft and sticky for maximum cornering grip …right up to full lean angle.
PULSE GROOVE
- Pattern groove design combining pulse shaped grooves with small centre defelectors. This equalises the waterflow and optimises the flow speed. Resulting in increased water drainage, better grip and adhesion in wet conditions and less slip ratio.
ULTIMATE EYE
- Visualisation of the tyre contact patch behavior with measurement and simulation technology. Supplies less slip area for good traction while riding and improves wear life.

Unlike some other retailers, all our tyres are located in the UK. If it shows as available on our website, then it's in stock. We dispatch 95% of orders within 24 hours and because they're shipped from the UK, you won't have delays or import charges.
